Cycling is a mental thing for me. It has helped me get through a lot. Whenever I am feeling overwhelmed or stressed I tend to find grounding in the sport.
There is something about turning thepedals and hearingthe gears shift that makes life seem simple. I don't believe I've ever felt worse after coming home from a ride.
A big thing for me in cycling is getting others involved in the sport. I think that starts with representation. When others look like you something that seems foreign becomes much less intimidating.
I am truly gratefulfor falling into andin love with this sport. I have met so many amazing people and garnered lifelongfriendships out of it.
